Platform Lifts
Canterbury Lifts are platform lift specialists, decades of combined experience in the platform industry has made us experts in the installation, maintenance, modernisation, repair or removal of platform lifts. Platform lifts come in all different shapes and sizes but can be easily categorised into three types including:

01
Open platform lifts
Open platform lifts do not have a ceiling - instead the platform is surrounded often by glass. Ideal for the entrance of a building or where only a short distance needs to be traversed. With a height limit of three metres of travel these lifts are ideal for many applications in the domestic or commercial setting.
02
Vertical platform lifts
Vertical platform lifts either come with their own shaft meaning that the walls remain stationary and the lift remains open but travels inside. Or vertical platform lifts can fully resemble a traditional passenger lift with a complete car and sliding automatic doors. They are cost-effective alternatives to traditional elevators, commonly used in small commercial buildings or residential settings.
03
Inclined platform lifts
Inclined platform lifts are similar to a stairlift however rather than a seat it is a platform! Ideal for places where there is no space for other types of platform lifts - inclined platforms require minimal to no building works and neatly fold away when not in use.
Open Platform Lifts
Also known as DDA Access lifts, Disabled access lifts, Step lifts, open aspect lifts
Canterbury Lifts offers top-quality open platform lifts designed to blend seamlessly into both modern and heritage settings. These stylish lifts, often surrounded by glass, provide an ideal solution for short travel distances, making them perfect for building entrances or areas where up to three meters of vertical access is needed. Vertical Platform Lifts
Vertical platform lifts provide a versatile and cost-effective alternative to traditional elevators, ideal for both residential and small commercial spaces. These lifts either come with their own shaft—allowing the lift to move within an open, stationary frame—or fully resemble traditional passenger lifts with enclosed cars and automatic sliding doors. At Canterbury Lifts, we offer a wide range of vertical platform lifts, each tailored to your specific needs, whether hydraulic, traction, or screw-driven. Our expert engineers take a personalised approach, visiting your property to recommend the perfect lift solution for your requirements. Inclined Platform Lifts
Inclined platform lifts are an excellent solution for those needing stair access without compromising space. Designed for both straight and curved staircases, these lifts safely transport wheelchairs and individuals with limited mobility between floors. When not in use, the platform neatly folds away, keeping your staircase clear and accessible. Requiring little to no building work for installation, inclined platform lifts offer a hassle-free and cost-effective option for enhancing accessibility. Canterbury Lifts provides high-quality, space-saving inclined platform lifts that are easy to use, reliable, and expertly installed, making them the ideal choice for your mobility needs.
