Inventor, YouTuber, tv star and multi work record breaking Colin Furze is known for creating some of the most ambitious workshop builds online. His latest project involves constructing a custom car lift, designed and built entirely by himself as part of his workshop setup.

While the fabrication and mechanical build are all Colin’s work, Canterbury Lifts has been involved throughout the project in an advisory capacity.

Providing Professional Lift Advice

Building a lift system involves more than just the mechanical structure. Control systems, safety logic and electrical integration all play an important role in ensuring the lift operates correctly.

Canterbury Lifts has been supporting the project by offering professional lift-industry advice during the design and development stages.

Assistance With Wiring and Programming

As part of the build, our team has been assisting with the wiring and programming of the lift control system. This includes helping configure the control logic and ensuring the electrical components work together correctly.

These systems are what allow a lift to operate smoothly and reliably once the mechanical build is complete.

Combining Creativity With Lift Expertise

Projects like this are a great example of how creative engineering and professional lift knowledge can work together. Colin’s hands-on fabrication skills combined with specialist lift guidance helps ensure the finished system performs as intended.

Supporting Unique Engineering Projects

At Canterbury Lifts, we’re always interested in supporting innovative projects where lift expertise can help bring ambitious ideas to life. From lift control systems to programming and technical advice, our team is happy to share knowledge that helps ensure safe and reliable operation.
